These are what pilots trained for!!

If you check out some aviation videos, such as those from Discovery,
you can see some documentaries about how pilots deal with emergency situation.

Yeah, without doubt, there is nothing more important than "Safety" when fling.
As the pilot-in-command, that's the priority, nothing more.

Today I just wanna share two of the great landing that I've ever seen.
From the video, you can see some skillful and careful controls and how calm the pilots are when facing emergency.

This is what pilot trained to do!!



This is a King Air twin, its landing gears are totally stuck.
However, the pilots still managed a fantastic emergency landing just like in the
ordinary perfect situation.



This is JetBlue JBU292 A320, pilots found out something wrong with the landing
gears after took off from KBUR. The nose gear was 90 degrees away form where it supposed to be.
Therefore, after dumped the fuel, they made an emergency landing in LAX.

何謂"專業飛行員"?
該影片中的飛行員~在第一時間都已完成耗油動作,避免落地時引起火花,造成本體受損並嗆傷乘客.
(第一段)-在機輪完成卡住情況下,關閉引擎,使得螺旋槳停止轉動.在落地時.依當時的進場空速及地面效應,調整pitch及垂直舵角度,採用"soft-field landing",以機腹完成迫降.(如果螺旋槳繼續轉動,會造成槳片及引擎受損,甚至增加地面摩擦力,使得飛機翻覆)
(第二段)-非常典型的"soft-landing",飛行員保持中線,利用pitch角度,保持機鼻輪的受力,雖然火花產生,但不難看出鼻輪組支架並無嚴重折損.

以上由專業飛行員,依平時訓練,在當下採取最佳的處理,"安全"落地.

後言~平時扎實的訓練,就是保障飛行安全.驗證了所謂的"養兵千日,用在一時".共勉

They are really incredible jobs.
I hope we will aslo have those kinds of skils someday, but of course we don't really want to do an emergency landing...

還有再值得一提的就是good pilot should be also be able to "improvise".

根據平時訓練所學到的知識和技巧,在緊急時候加以調整靈活應用真實狀況,而不是只是一味的by the book甚至panic而freeze住.

soft field l/d,在private階段已經是重要的訓練之ㄧ了~呵呵..ce-152就種小飛機如果有側風,有時候還真難對準center line勒 =)

在側風情況下,可以選擇wing-low(使用upwind aileron和opposite rudder)或crabbing(correct Heading with crosswind),兩種方式都是保持ground track align with the centerline of Runway.最大差別是當crabbing時,在level時要將機鼻對正或平行centerline,避免sideloading,造成側輪受損,甚至導致側翻.

當然,就本主題來講當然,因為是private必考的項目之ㄧ,所以所有的private pilot都應該能做得到.

但是我想不是每個人都能像江那樣把程序完整的訴諸於文字,讓所有有興趣的平有都能理解囉~~

側風是個惱人的玩意
小則把你吹離center line~大則像江sir講的,鼻輪折斷,機身damage都有可能

江sir把側風進場的標準程序解釋的很清楚~基本上textbook上能寫的也就只是這樣了:)

soft-field landing在landing gear touch down後,還要維持back pressure來保持大概10度的pitch, 完全靠rudder和side vision來保持中線

如過在做soft-field landing的時候再遇上側風...那真的是麻煩啊...

畢人心情平靜,未有不悅.看了你的blog,覺得你很用心的解釋航空基礎知識,鉅細彌夷的程度,更是我所未見的.(不禁要問,又有多少人願意花心力對網友說文解字呢?),真正願意分享航空基礎知識的人又有幾個?在這個網站我看到的是真正的學識分享,而不是藏私,誇耀.

說來慚愧,我還沒有看過textbook.一切都是由當年教官口述,(講實話,能教的都教了.還是要自己親自去感覺),還怕自己說明不夠清楚,誤導視聽.
如發言有錯,我當然會虛心糾正.未有絲毫瞧不起人的態度,如果有造成任何的人身攻擊,我道歉,請求原諒.

繼續重申~"不敢在此大放厥辭,是朋友就互相切磋."
對於喜歡掃瞄他人文章,斷自發揮,未針對主題切入就挑起文字戰的人,如此浪費網路資源,深表心寒.

是啊是啊~~知識是需要各方吸收,不斷累積的!!

AOPA出版的flight training雜誌,
封面的第一句話就"A good pilot always learning". 這是錯不了的!!
